It appears the new M&P 10 is a winner

But, with what appears to be a thinner barrel, has anyone noticed the groups opening up or stringing when hot?

Well, if you start ramming ammo thru it you will see some stringing, but then again, you won't be anywhere near MOA shooting like this anyhow, so it should not matter.

As to timed shots, all aimed? The barrel is going to shoot well. It's a 16", so when i comes to 300ydsand more, it will never be a 22" bull barrel, so don't worry about it too much.
Find an ammo the barrel likes, and be happy with MOA shooting!;)

I believe it is an 18 inch barrel

has anyone noticed stringing or groups getting bigger

I have a Bison armory in 6.8 non bull barrel, and I dont notice it.

I think a 308 needs to be added to the family......

I enjoy my Shield 40 and 45 compact..... Another M&P?

I have not noticed any vertical stringing but then when I'm shooting for groups I probably don't get the barrel too hot. I've been very pleased by how this rifle shoots. It will do MOA or better with match ammo if I do my part and it's been 100% reliable with various .308 and 7.62 ammo.

I like the fact that the weapon is light.

I see so many AR10 types that are very heavy

This weapon would be a hunting weapon / Secondary HD
