stuck with a Shield

Just got mine in dec like it a lot, good luck with it. I think it is a great carry piece.

The Shield is an outstanding SD tool, I also think that they are a great value.

Got mine 9 shield in Nov and love it. Very comfortable to wear for an EDC. You made a great choice

Shield 9

Got mine in June of 2012 and have about 7-800 rounds through it and no hiccups. Great pistol all around. Light recoil, light weight and a great trigger. And, as accurate as I am.

I have a shield in .40 and one in 9mm on order. Both guns have functioned flawlessly except for the 9 shooting low and to the left and the front sight insert falling out of the .40 twice. that was easily fixed by set of Williams sights.

Got my 9 mm Shield two weeks ago. Sold a XDs in 45 and replaced it with the Shield. I am so impressed with this gun!

I find mine very tight on the spring so pulling back slide is VERY hard. Also, the spring goes back in sometimes wrong so you can not lock back the slide at all until you get the spring out and in again. Seems to not want to go in totally straight I think. I am hoping that the spring on it will loosen up, otherwise I need help when pulling back the slide and locking it when I go shooting. Once that is done I can load it and push down the slide lock lever and it racks the bullet and at end it leaves slide open. It is lubed, shoots very accurately. The men(I am a woman) at the range of the gun club I belong to, feel it is way too tight!! Others who have the same gun and model feel mine is harder than theirs! Sucks but I do like the accuracy of this weapon. Have a Body Guard 380 and like that also but I am not as accurate with it.

Sandie-My son had a S&W SW9VE Sigma that had similar problems. Thought it might have been dirty, so we cleaned it with regular cleaning and oil it with Rem-Oil. Still the same problems. He got very discouraged. Bought another pistol. I took the gun apart and clean the Sigma with an OTIS Technology Kit I had purchased. Amazing difference. This worked for him; maybe it will help you. Just my two cents! Take care and good luck.
