Stupidity often has dire consequences!

I first shot it in 2000, it's a blast. One of my nerdy buddies figured out the ratio to make ourselves. It's 9 parts anitraite and 1 part aluminum powder. I'm sure if you ordered the amount of anitraite today, you would get a visit from several agency.....also it will only go off with a bullet traveling 1300 fps, most hand guns can't set it off, it remains legal because its flame less, you can light a match to it and nothing happens....have fun shoot if you like or don't.

If he attempts to take the manufacturer to court the lawsuit will be thrown out, he doesn't have a leg to stand on.

Oh no he didn't...

When I see something like this I can't help but think of all the stupid things I did during my younger years. That I'm still in one piece and above dirt is sheer luck. :D
Yeah, but there's ignorant and then there's stupid.

When we were kids, most of what we did was due to ignorance. We didn't know enough or have enough experience to steer clear of extremely dangerous acts. However, this guy is definitely old enough to know better. Therefore, he was being stupid.

Alas, he cannot win the much sought after Darwin award. Only those who expire after their stupidity can achieve that lofty accolade. This moron has to continue to live with the fact that he is so stupid, that his stupidity wasn't enough to be admired for being stupid.

Anyone wanna take bets on how long it takes him to cut off the other leg doing the same trick again?

Stupidity raises it's ugly head every day. I'm sure most of you have seen the video of the guy shooting the .50 Barrett and has a ricochet come back and hit him in the head and knock his shooting glasses off. I had a similar event when I was 11 when I shot at a wooden shed in my back yard, with my Daisy, and the BB came back and hit me in the forehead. Cheap lesson learned.

I think that people who use this or similar products probably had a childhood of blowing up their toy army men with firecrackers. After a while the need for a bigger adrenaline rush is needed.

Genius has it's limits, but there is no end to stupidity. Safety mechanism rear of firearm failed. Any lock comments?

Some young men in Georgia decided to blow up a lawnmower using 3lbs of Tannerite. You can google the article if you want to read about it.

One of the men lost his leg below the knee when a piece of shrapnel hit him.He was shooting a semi-auto rifle at the lawnmower and in the course of shooting was about 25yds away when the lawnmower exploded.

Needless to say the man is very lucky that the injury wasn't fatal. We like to laugh at people doing stupid things but this isn't funny. It's a sad way to learn a lesson.

A couple years ago, some student of Darwin, decided to set off about 50 or so pounds of the stuff. I don't know how he set it off? but it happened about ten miles from where I lived, and it was a loud boom. I was watching the 5 pm news at the time. By the time the six pm version came on, they had a story about it. That idiot set it off on Slough Road--which is a neighborhood but fields off to one side. This prompted the city council to call for a ban on that stuff here. I don't know if the ban ever went in effect or not? Don't care either, I'll never buy the stuff.

I admit, I too have been party to a couple of goobers in my youth. I still ain't going to admit to what they werrev but, nothing like what happened to the Darwin student in video.
