Out of all these subcompact firearms listed, what do you carry now, or, given the chance, what would you prefer to carry that you're not carrying already? You can select more than one.

I know there are many pistols I didn't list, but there are too many, so please leave comments offering specifics about what you carry or would like to carry.

Whoo! Lots of options there.

The only one on the list I've carried is the J-frame, specifically my 642s.

I've been wanting a good pocket .380, and I've been interested in the Ruger LCP (not the LCP II) and the Beretta Pico as they're both hammer-fired DAO guns, but I wouldn't rule out the Kahr .380 just because it's striker-fired.

You listed the Sig P239, which seems a bit large for subcompact, but it is a gun I would like to own. Somewhat similar in size is the Kahr P9, another gun I've considered getting. I've been intrigued in the SA XDe, if it's the compact DA/SA decocker 9mm single-stack, especially LTT started offering their modified version. I would love to get a good single-stack 9mm.

As much as I like my PX4 Compact, the Subcompact doesn't really interest me. While I like Glocks, the only one that interests me is the 19.

That's funny, I agree with everything you just said. I even have a PX4 Storm Compact and have no interest in the subcompact which is too large in my opinion to be a subcompact, but that's what they call it.

I carry a first gen LC9 and prefer it over an LC9s or EC9s.
I like the long revolver-like trigger pull of the hammer-fired version better than the shorter, lighter trigger pull of the striker fired version. I also don't like bladed triggers.

Of the other guns listed the only one I don't already have and haven't carried, but that I'd really like to try as a CCW, is the Sig P365. I know it is striker-fired but the ones I've handled seemed to have the longer, more even trigger pull like a revolver or my LC9, and they don't have a bladed trigger either.

Glock 27 for a long time. Carries easily all day long, reliable & makes big holes in things. I've never felt the need to change to a different Subcompact although I may pick up a G 26 one day if I come across a good deal.

I voted "Other" because the Colt Mustang isn't on the list. How could you miss it?
They're great little guns. I've carried an XSP Model on my daily exercise walks for years. :D

I carry both a Walther PPK/S and a Ruger LCP.

I would also carry a Ruger LC9/EC9s, Ruger SR40c, and a S&W M&P45 Shield if I owned any of them.

The Ruger Security 9 Compact is my EDC. It's what I prefer.
10+, accurate, reliable, easily concealed and light weight...and it was priced right.

My vote is "other", as I carry a Diamondback DB9. It is the flattest and slimmest, most compact 9mm that I have handled, and it has a high grip/low bore axis. It is only a 6 shot magazine (+1 in the chamber) but that contributes to its smallness. Unfortunately there is no slide lock. Remarkably inexpensive, often under $200. DB9ODG – Diamondback Firearms

Second choice is the Kel-Tec family with the PF-9 my pick.

*edit* Hmmm, just did some Googling and it appears that there is a Diamondback DB9 Gen 4 in the works that includes a slide stop. MSRP $269. Diamondback DB9 GEN 4 Review - A Must Have Update

I just looked at the poll results again. 93 people have responded and a little over 61% carry a S&W. While I am one of them, I think the poll (or at least this crowd) is a little bias! But then again, bias polls make the ^ O'clock new all the time!

Been carrying my gen 1 Shield 9mm for years now. I have been considering carrying my gen 1 9c, as it's not much larger and carries 4 more rounds. Always good to have different choices :-)

Springfield Armory EMP 3.

It's an incredible piece of flawless art.

After almost 40 years of a 2" J Frame, the Sig P365 is now my EDC choice. While the Chief's Special served me well, at less weight, a smaller package and more than double the rounds (5 vs 11 without a reload) plus the fact that the new 9's are really good SD rounds, it's a no brainer to me.

The bonus is that the P365 has way less recoil with +P's, much better sights (night sights) is more accurate and faster to reload!! I find myself practicing with the P365 a lot more than I ever did with the Chief's Special. I can easily shoot 200 rounds in a day with absolutely no pain or discomfort when I go home. So far I've got just shy of 2,000 rounds through the P365 with no malfunctions. :)

The only Chiefs Special that weighs less than the P365 are the Airweights. Steel CS’s weigh just as much or more than a 10 shot 365 and some more than a 12 shot 365.
If weight and capacity matter, 5 vs 10 or 12, no brainer for me, the difference is negligible.
