Any help and pictures would be amazing! Thanks!

A weapon light is usually mounted on a full size gun for law enforcement or home defense. For me the Shield is more of an Every Day Carry, compact, concealed handgun. Adding a weapon light in that role will likely never get used for serious business, detracts from all the desirable characteristics of concealed carry, and changes the handling of the gun.

A weapon light should never be used like a flashlight.

If this is your only gun and will be used for home defense also, then having a detachable WML might be helpful for that role at night, but a handheld light can be even more useful.

I use a different gun at home than my Shield so I don’t have to compromise with concealed carry characteristics in size, capacity and ease of shooting.

I hope someone will chime in with a light and holster choice for you if you decide to go that way. There are numerous options.

Great points and I agree on the weapon light. My home defense gun is a Glock 17 with night sights and a TLR 7 weapon light. Like most gun owners I think I'm a bit accessory happy with a new weapon to tinker with.

Thanks for bringing me back to my intention of purchasing it as a smaller EDC weapon. After much thought, I think I will stick with my handheld flashlight on the side.

I appreciate the feedback and thought process!

I've carried this PC .40 for 4 years now, and almost since day one it's had a TRL-6. It doesn't detract from the concealability as the small light/laser is down at the other end of the gun, not what sticks above the belt.
It's so small and light I don't even notice it when I draw.
About $90 and 100 lumens. The size of your thumb and weighs 1.12 ounces.

I've packed it for 2 years when working in Phoenix under a light shirt, and taken it on a lot of camping trips. When camping I like having the light there on the gun when something goes bump in the night, not having to locate and keep up with a separate light. I always have a separate light, but it is in addition to the TRL-6.

There are lots of makers that make holsters for TRL-6 equipped Shields, but the 4 inch is relatively new so you're gonna have less choices for a while.
