Anyone got a recommendation for good cargo shorts that you can easily slide a revolver in a Blackhawk #4 in the front pocket?

What about Carhartt cargo shorts? Easy to conceal in front pocket?

I usually wear cargo shorts in the summer.

I want big enough pockets to easily slip the holster in. Baggy enough for no printing issues.

I got some old ones but for some reason, they "shrunk" at the waist. Very odd. ;)

Most of my wardrobe comes from Walmart these days & all their cargo pants & shorts have ample front pockets.

I,ve had full sized 1911's in reg holster in the cargo pocket, with no "issues" before. Why worry about takeing up the front pocket? If the shorts are so loose that there is a sway or flop problem; many real cargo pockets have a built in strap for secureing to the leg. Ivan

I believe my shorts may need deeper pockets.

My LCR wouldn't fit all the way in the cargo pocket without the grip exposed.

I need new shorts this summer anyway.

Now when I buy, I try to think of how they will handle my pistol as well.

I picked up a pair of cargo shorts at the Dollar General. They fit great and my snubby just slips right into the right front pocket.
I had that shrinking problem too. It seems my old belt shrunk and I had to order a new one.

Couldn't say as far as the tactical gear, but I got a few pair of shorts from Old Navy that I love just for having big pockets, actually their jeans pockets do too. Maybe worth a shot?

The Tru-Spec 24/7 cargo shorts and pants have M16 size pockets inside the cargo pockets which are just the right size for up to a 3913 in a soft Uncle Mikes pocket holster to keep it from flopping around. The front and back pockets are also large enough to hold a CS9 or J frame.
And the elastic waistband solves the "shrinkage" problem for me. <G>

Ya they have tan, khaki, slate and grey(whatever the difference is) in the style I wear. I don't know about olive tho. I had to shop there recently because I don't get the skin-tight everything now days and my body type doesn't accommodate it well. What I did was just found a few things that fit how I want, than just order online. You'll find much more colors and cheaper prices sometimes.
