What are we having today? My lady friend and I will watch the game. Simple fare, some chips and beer. I'll make a pizza, Canadian bacon and pineapple, with just a touch of brown sugar on there. Mm Mm good. Then some Scotch. Hope it is a good game as it is the only NFL game I watch these days.

This will be the 1st game I've watched in over 2 years. And only because the Patriots are playing in it. I skipped it last year. I will be doing chicken thighs and legs on the grill smothered in hot and spicy barbeque sauce with probably a salad and a veggie. Appetizers will be chips, salsa, onion dip, various cheeses. Drinks for adults will be primarily beer and wine although I'm hoping to have a celebratory single malt after the game!

Having young ones here, including my youngest daughter's family, the vote was for BBQ meatballs, pigs in a blanket, Mexican sausage dip w/tortilla chips, pulled pork sliders, loaded potato skins and caramel brownies.

Tonight the mantle of Papaw's beer bearer gets handed from Logan to JR. One chapter ends, another chapter begins.

I look forward to being surrounded by loved ones who known how to eat and laugh, often at the same time.

I like the commercials, not the game anymore, and this is the only time I'll watch NFL football.
Indulging on venison meatloaf, smoked white fish pâté with crackers, Stella Artois Beer, pretzels, Natcho chips and salsa, popcorn, beer, home made chicken enchiladas and beer.
My poor wife has been a RN on Cardiology units for 35 years, I'm driving her nuts today.

Venison wieners smothered in ho-made kraut baked to perfection and a cast iron pan of hash browns...plenty of snacks, with craft beer and some sippin bourbon....
GO RAMS

Green Tea to help me sleep through another Patriots romp. Seriously, we will celebrate the occasion by going to a normally crowded Vietnamese restaurant and enjoy the absence of the game watchers.

I just came from a Super Bowl buffet at the VFW and I am stuffed. Sliced tenderloin, pulled pork, dogs and kraut, stuffed shells, egg rolls and breaded shrimp. That doesn't include the side dishes. All for $5.00 plus tax. Then at half time they allowed anyone still there to get a takehome box so the leftovers wouldn't be thrown out. It was great.
