SW 22 17-3

New to the forum and looking into some knowledge on a S&W 22 Model 17-3. I have one offered to me for $500.00 free and clear no paperwork! Real nice condition. I've seen comments on the accuracy and fun, so was wondering what the forum thought.

In these uncertain days of higher than normal prices, $500 is a very good deal for that revolver. Condition means everything, so I'm assuming your description of "real nice" means just that. A very nice target .22, I own one as well.

BUY THE GUN, if it is in as good-a-shape as you suggest. The K-22 does not show it's face every day.

I can't think of anything else that you could buy for $500.00 that would be as much fun. Not to mention the fact that the value will keep going up, provided you take minimal care of it.

A Ruger Single Six would be at least $400 right now, and the M17 is a much nicer revolver. Even if it is $75 too much (and it probably isn't), they are hard to find. If you want it, and it is in nice shape, grab it. I shoot mine more than any other pistol.
