Is the model 37 airweight in a 3" with the original box, what is the value of the firearm

Can anyone give any info good or bad about a model 37 airweight, 3"
It is a good compromise between a 2" j-frame and a heavier, longer k-frame 4". I have one in my pocket right now. Much easier to shoot well than a 2" version of the same gun, but still concealable. I have 3" versions of the Model 36 (steel frame) as well as the Model 37 (alloy frame) and like them both.

The value is contingent on three factors: 1. Condition, 2. Condition, and 3. Condition. I gave $175 for the one in my pocket, but it looks like someone drug it behind a truck for several miles on a gravel road. I would say a nice one with original box and accoutrements is worth somewhere around $400.

I paid 400 for this one. It's nice, they wanted 5.:)

Snap it up at $425! I just sold a pristine early 1970's 2" model 37 with box etc for $525. The three-incher is probably worth a premium just because there were fewer made. Looks like a heavy barrel on texmex's 37-- I'm kinda surprised that S&W would put a HB on an airweight gun, a lightweight tapered barrel would have made more sense.
I had a RB 3" 36-1 for a while...while I much prefer a round butt on a 2" Chief, I think I'd prefer a square butt on a 3 incher.
