New member, first post. Have a model 64 (no further designation) D505733. All original and looks like its seen little use if its ever been carried or fired. I think manuf between 1970 and 1971. Can anybody be more specific..I appreciate it.

I have a Model 64 (Serial D585XXX) that is a 4 inch standard or tapered barrel. These were only made for a few years and mine dates to 1973. When the 64-1 came out with the heavy barrel, the standard barrel model was soon discontinued. The Model 64 is a collectible model. I bought mine a year ago for $525 and it appears to be unfired in the original box with all paperwork and tools.

Hope this helps. Steve

72-73, To pin down the exact date you would need a factory letter.

I love my 64-3, it was the 1st gun I ever owned, bought in around 1987.
Made a HUGE mistake selling it a couple months ago, finally talked the new owner into trading it back to me for a gun I can easily reacquire.

My 64's are among my all time favorite shooting handguns. Easy, simple, accurate, and fun.

The 64 is an all business dependable weapon. I have three total, two 4 inch and a 2 inch.

Go ahead and talk bad about me...but I kinda like the 64 with the pearl grips...it has a certain flair...

Model 64 no dash. Circa 1970.

Refinished and high gloss polished by me.
