I have not owned a victory, but did not hear about nearly as many issues with the 22A and 22S. I have shot this 22S for 20 years with only cleaning and springs required. They are still not rare at around $350.

Not much info, but, is this gun clean and WELL LUBED? How many rounds thru it?
I have had one now for over 3 years. It eats any and all .22lr ammo as long as it is CLEAN and WELL LUBED, with or without a suppressor. With suppressor it gets dirty very quickly.

Assuming that the bore chamber is clean, then I would assume it's the recoil spring, get a few pound stronger spring from Wolfe or Springco.
I'm shooting Armscor 36 gr. ammo in mine and it cycles nicely, but will not lock open on last round.

Hate to hear about your troubles. My Victory is the favorite out of my MarkIV and Buck Mark with the Buck Mark a close second. With so many trips back to S&W, they should just replace your pistol. I'd be making real nice with someone in customer service in an attempt to make that happen if I was in your position. Climb the ladder a little, try to get to someone with some stroke.

Good luck man!

Wow, that sux. My Victory is very reliable, as reliable as my MKIV. I hope S&W makes it right.
