sw40e. Should i get parts for a sigma or sd

Hey guys, i recently got a sw40e. I can only find parts for a ve. No big deal, but i dont yet know the difference between the sigma and the sd pistols. The guide rod i oredered worked for both, but for the reduced power spring set, it appears that it will make a difference. any insight would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Other than the possible finish of the slide they should be the same.

I meant the the SW40E and the SW40VE should be the same.
