SW9M mag question

help, i just bought a new in the box SW9m
and it came with a manual, but i have no idea how to take the magazine apart. smith-wesson
says its not made to take apart, i have had many smiths, and never been told a magazine cant come apart for cleaning. can someone please
help.

thanks, but this mag has a plastic base plate , but no take down button to push in ???

anyone have one of these.

One of these for those unfamiliar with the gun;

The guns were damn near disposable, so it wouldn't surprise me if there was no facility for magazine maintenance.

I wonder where you found one that had been sitting NIB in inventory for that many years.

found it on gunbroker, mint with take down tool,
loader, all paper work, gun is mint. im taking
my apart tommorrow, polish the feed ramp a little and clean off the old oil. then im going to the range next week and putting this gun thru the ringer. will post a range report. these
guns are not as fragile as some think . the sw380 had a alloy slide and was good for so many rounds. the sw9m is steel. these gun did not sell well because thay were not easy to take apart, and could be picky about the ammo thay liked. so thay say. much like a lot of other pistols on the market. i like the way it feels and carrys. just my 2 cents.

Why do you need to take it apart? Unless it is filled with mud and debris, it is better if you leave it be.

I wasn't trying to ask a "stupid question" as you call it. I was wondering if you were having a problem. I have one of the SW9M pistols and have fired over a case of 9mm+P+ Federal 9BPLE and have had no problems of any kind and have never needed to take the magazine apart.
