How would I go about joining the SWCA?

One of the links in the header is the ticket to getting you the info needed. If you don't find what you want email me at [email protected] and I will send you a signed application (sponsor required). Fill it out remit it with dues and wait for confirmation that you are in...You will get your membership card by return mail with your number on it.

NFC, it's under one of the "Downloads" above. Maybe you know of a local SWCA member or you can get a letter from an FFL that has known you for a number of years.
Either that or Thom or I could sponsor you.
