It was friggin brutal. So much for Holgorson's "amazing" offense. Good grief. I WANT BILL STEWART BACK!!!! :((

There is a small town near Syracuse called Phoenix. About a week ago, the Phoenix High School football team was playing Homer High School...another small town south of Syracuse.

One of the Phoenix High School players, Ridge Barden, died from a head injury sustained in the Homer game.

The Syracuse University football program invited the Phoenix High School football team to come to the Carrier Dome to watch them play West Virginia. They got to stand on the sideline during practice and met the whole coaching staff.

Syracuse Coach Doug Marrone is a true class act and the hard work is starting to pay off. :)

I heard the Phoenix coach on the radio last week. He said that they decided as a team to not play their game the week following Ridge's passing and instead would go to Camden (Where I live) and support the Homer team as they played against Camden. I had a family event today, otherwise I would have liked to go. I hope my town and team did something special for the Phoenix team...... But what a tragedy.

Very cool of the S.U. team to do that for the Phoenix team....

+1 to that!

IMO, they screwed up big time when they booted Stewart. He got the shaft by taking over a team with no stars, but the university wanted a national championship. White and Slaton carried the Mountaineers during their time at WVU and were the reason for their success 3-4 years ago.

I dont get a good vibe from Holgorson. Seems sleezy to me, but I've never met him in person...
