T/C contender/encore questions

I have a contender with all super 14" barrels.
Barrels:
.22lr

.223 Remington
Do not shoot 5.56 NATO in this. I made that mistake and the primers backed out.
it has a 1-12 twist so it likes 40gr bullets

30-30 (1/2"groups at 50 yds)

44 mag.

I don't really dig on super light triggers, too easy to have an accident or an ND. My preferred pull weight is around 2.5-3 lbs. So whats a fair price to pay for either an encore or a contender? I don't know that I'm going to be buying one anytime soon, but I would still like to know whats reasonable.

It you are looking for a contender get one with a serial number over 195000 as these are the easy open frame.

The earlier frames can be converted by the TC custom shop to the easy open style for $55.95 - see
