"T" grip adapter comparison thread

I have quite a few Tyler adapters - I have had success using K-frame adapters on my N frames and J-frame on my K's. Another bit of info FWIW...last time I ordered from Tyler they cashed the check, never sent the adapter, and never responded to my VMs or emails. I obviously won't buy from them again. I wanted one for a New Service; I found a vintage Pachmayr on eBay and went with that.

i am really mad at Tyler's. In April 2020 I sent them my check for an adapter for my Colt Agent (2nd gen).
For the following year every month I tried calling, writing etc - no response of any kind. They simply stole my money. I will never ever deal with them again and every chance I get I will post negative comments about their service.
I did get BK adapter that fits perfectly. Sorry for venting but I take theft very seriously.

I inherited my dad's K-22 (SN indicate manufacture ca. 1957 - when I got it after his passing in 1984 it had that Tyler grip...which I'd never liked after I took possession of it I went to gun shows looking for a set of target grips to replace the T-grip...I recently bought a set of original S&W grips for the K22 for $50 bux...I doubt I'll go looking for another set of T-grips -I bought grip so I'd have them if I ever decide to sell it - which I have no plans to do at this time...I'd like someone to have it - down the road when I'm gone - that appreciate my K22 for the classic collectible that it is. Dad asked to never sell it and I've kept my word...I pawned it a few times - but always redeemed it.

Could someone who has the K frame Robertson's see how they might fit on a square butt N frame? Maybe close enough to work with a little trimming?

Thanks,

Just received one of Robertson's adapters yesterday and tried it on a K frame square. Fit was ok, the worst thing was the copper arms were attached to the adapter clocked to about 1:00 instead of straight up and down. I finagled the arms and got it aligned with no gaps. Going to order a few BK this evening to see how they do.

I have old and new Tyler's in black, brass, and polished aluminum finish. All on square K frames. All fit perfectly with factory and after market tips. I have a Pach on a round butt J frame and while functional, it doesn't fit very well. It has poor fit with factory grips and a Barami hip Grip.

First of all, please pardon my poor photography. I have not learned how to get the awesome pics that some here do.

Attached is a pre-14 that is one of my favorites. The Tyler is a new version, not the original. It took a year, but worth the wait.

Plastic is nice, but not on a pre-.

I guess I would ask, if you want a Colt 45 Cowboy gun, would you rather have a SAA, or a clone made in South America.

Not me. And my 1911 is an original, made in 1915, not 2021 made in a foreign country.

Just my opinion, with no disrespect to those that copy.
