I have been trying to buy a T series Hi Power for some time now. I prefer older guns, and wanted one that I could get with my C&R license. Every time I would see one on an auction site, I would bid to the maximum I was willing to pay (under a grand), and would always get out bid. Well I finally prevailed, and was not out bid, mail man brought it to me today. Condition is actually better than I expected, so I'm happy These things are sure getting expensive...cant wait to run a few clips through it. I also included a pic of my clunker FEG clone, the gun that got me wanting to get the real deal.

Congrats on your "T" series:) What's the manufacture year. ?? One of the small number of handguns world wide that is rapidly increasing in value. This is my 1967 "T" series that I, fortunately, purchased in 1994.:D

Mine is a ** also. Correction: Its a 68. It would probably make me cry to learn what you paid in 94. I don't think I'll be getting another one any time soon.

Hi Power Semi Auto Pistol

Fascinating Pistol and Great Thread.

I know very little about the Hi Power Pistol.

My Question is; what is a "T" Series in the
Hi Power? Also are they 9MM caliber?

Thank you in advance for answers.

I'm no expert on Hi Powers, but I believe the T Series were made between 1964 and 1969. And from everything I read, that series is the high point for these guns, the best series made. All I know is that I just had to have one, and now that I do I couldn't be happier. Its a beautiful pistol, its as if it was made for my hand. And yes, its a 9mm.

Yes, the high point in Browning Hi Powers in my opinion; all Belgian made, before they started shipping them off to Portugal for assembly and completion. Looked at a really nice one an an LGS last week; asking $1050. Probably worth it, and I'd probably buy it if I didn't have one just as nice already. Enjoy.

I'll bite. I own two Hi-Powers, one w/ fixed sight and the other has a small adjustable rear sight. Both are all-Belgium. The adjustable sight gun shoots dead on POA but the fixed gun is spray and pray.

What identifies a "T" series Hi-Power?

Hi Power Pistol

The above might help with dates.

My IDF 1994 BHP I refinished myself.

Serial number begins with a T, made during a date range in the 60's. From what I have read, the attention to detail and hand finishing were at its best during this period.

From what I have been seeing on the auction sites, it would have been worth it. Even though I paid through the nose, I think I was lucky to get mine for $900

Xfuzz, I don’t usually care for gold accents, but wow that’s beautiful! Love the grips too.

I’ve always wanted an Inglis with tangent’s, and it’s original stock to go with my collection of WW II pistols. I also wanted a T Series because they are so beautiful and perfect.

16 months ago I found a T Series in an Ace Hardware Store a few miles south. I actually was shaking when I saw the condition, (like new,) and the price, ($695.00.) The salesman told me “an old man” came in to just get some money for it. He had gotten it when he first got back from Vietnam and put it in a drawer.

Check out what he paid for it in 1970.

Wanna make a quick two hundred bucks?!! :D

Own a pretty good Browning and got a FEG as a 'stand-in' shooter.
I'm terrible for 'inventing a needed niche' ;)
