Take the Money and Run???

There was one for sale locally about a month ago in great shape for $500. I don't know if it ever sold.

I agree. I replaced my CS9 with a pre rail 3913TSW. That's a much bigger jump than a CS45 to a 457, but the dynamic is much the same. The 457 is a bit bigger, but that includes a longer barrel (I think) and one more round in the magazine.

4513/16 mags and accessories will fit the 457.

You'll be able to buy a 457 and still have a good amount of money left over. Or you'll be able to buy a nice revolver and not have much, if any, money left over.

Either way, you might be happier selling the CS45.

Seems like the market value of these pistols moves up and down with some regularity. That's strong money in my opinion, and unless there's something particularly unique about this one, I'd sell it for that kind of offer.
I've had all three calibers, and liked my CS9's and CS45's the best. On the 45ACP end of things, the 457 does pretty much the same thing as a CS45 for a lot less money - very under rated, IMO. You may find that tidbit useful should have any seller's remorse down the road...
