I've heard nothing but good things about Canik. Wanted to try one for a long time. The MC9 pushed me other the edge. Looking for it to fill the same role (or maybe replace) the Sig P365. It is the right size for CCW. 12-15 round magazines. It feels like a solid pistol. Taking it to the range this afternoon, along with the refurbished Jordanian Public Security Directorate Model 10-5 from my other thread.

Feel free to post your experience with Canik, pictures welcome.

I don't really care for forward slide serrations, slide cuts, dustcover rails, or different color accents. But after buying and shooting this Canik Rival I liked it so much I immediately bought a second one to try out one of those new fangled red dot sights. :)

I got one a couple of weeks ago and really like it. I'm a lefty so I like that it is ambi for me. It also has a very nice trigger out of the box. I put the Canik red dot on it and is is pretty good as well. I have a Sig 365 X Macro with a 507K that I like very much too. The Mete MC9 has a better trigger.

I bought an MC9 about 4 months ago. First Canik I’ve owned and I’ve been very impressed. Trigger is the best of any of the micro 9’s that I’ve experienced. Fired about 500 rounds so far of various types with zero stoppages. I put a red dot sight on it and accuracy is as good as my SIG 229. Size and magazine capacity are very good. The only issues I’ve had have been finding spare magazines (to be fair I haven’t looked very hard), and I don’t care for the holster that came with it. Best of all is the price. This gun easily competes with guns that cost 50% more and is actually better than most (all?) of them. I think you’ll be very happy with yours.

I don’t own one but my buddy does and it’s honestly pretty glorious. Best value 9 on the market IMO.

I have the basic 5.2" model (no optic cut) and the fancier red dot 5.2" model that I scored when some store or wholesaler was dumping a bunch of them last year. I've only shot the basic gun, and it makes me look good at the range. I need to get the red dot equipped example to the range because it has the better trigger, at least when dry-firing.
