That PO`s me. This couple has uncountable kids, no vehicle, lives in a unbeliveable dump, doubt that they are legaly married, he might be able to whup me (45 years differance), doesnt bother to even look for a job.
Just ranting.

Wife and I now have a game when we go to the beach:

First one that can spot----- anyone without---- a visible tat makes the drinks that evening.

Like that, in other words you both have to pay for your own drinks that evening.

I have none and never will, but those that have them, no problemo with me.

Never thought I would get one, but my wife and I came up with a cool idea which we then have matching ones. I'd post a link to a pic but I can't from work as I don't have that ability here. But essentially it is a Bear (she always calls me her bear) and a Beaver (her maiden name) and they are both sitting in the water. And the tattoo artist did a wonderful job of making them not look cartoonish.

And above the animals, we have the words "it's different" which I always say to her when she says it isn't fair for me to have something when she can't. And then underneath, the word "whatever" which is what she ends up saying to me.

As for the guy who got the new tattoo when on welfare and with all that other stuff. Yep, I agree, it is kind of a slap in the face to those of us who are paying the taxes to support the welfare system. Makes you wonder ...

If a review of persons on the dole were made the gubment?(which is us) could probably save billions.Situations change, physical disabilities are often cured and the checks continue.I have witnesed folks doing outside work hunting or fishing which I am sure were more strenuous than their previous gainful work.

My gripe aint people getting tatoo,s. Its the getting welfare and spending the money on tatoo,s instead of on their kids or whatever. We have kids with tatoo,s but they can afford them.
Why should the taxpayer effectively buy them? I say if a welfare person shows up with new tat`s, the social worker should have the power from a new law to throw them off the system. They aught to make a law for that!

I totally agree with you. My brother-in-law and his wife have been doing some things which I completely hate too that are similar. They get food assistance, cash assistance, and want to borrow money from relatives all the time. And yet, they seem to be able to afford a $400 swimming pool, $300 worth of fireworks at the 4th of July, XBox and PS3 systems, laptop for the kids, etc. And yet they never have enough money for the power bill, the rent, gas money and so they try to "borrow" that from relatives. Oh, and the wife works and makes enough such that they shouldn't be receiving any of the cash assistance and very little on food assistance. I finally turned them in and hopefully the state catches up with them. Makes me irritated that they can do so much when we work for all we get and my wife's sister and her husband have 6 kids (the other ones playing the system have 3) and they get less assistance than the ones with 3 kids because they are honest and not playing the system.

A right

Howdy Merril,
They showcased a program on Channel 4 news not long ago where welfare people are issued a cash card.A credit card like card they don't have to pay back. They claim that in Illinois and Missouri there was 14 million dollars of unsupervised spending on these cards.
Channel 4 reporters tracked down people who were buying smokes, booze and using the cards at strip joints and casinos.
They took this information to the lady that heads this program in the St. Louis area and her explanation is "Poor people have every right to make poor decisions like the rest of us".
Go figure?
It can be frustrating.
Thanks
Mike

Most all of the liquor stores and fast food joints in my area gladly accept electronic welfare benefit cards. Wouldn't be surprised a bit if tattoos could be paid for with them too.

I would agree with that statement if they were making poor decisions with the money THEY E A R N E D

the priority list for today's society doesn't read………….a. family; b. home; c. work; d. education; e. savings…………..

more's the pity

I have read tattoos are often acquired in prison to show gang membership and as a warning to others that you are not to be messed with.
The LA Times did an expose 2 years ago or so on the millions of dollars in EBT money withdrawn out of state, yes, on cruise ships, casinos, etc.
In-state liquor stores and casinos are very popular. Belive or not when the story broke the politicians quickly moved to bar EBT usage at such venues. Schwarzenegger said many people were clearly not using their EBT cards to achieve "self sufficency". Well duhh!
