I picked up a Taurus M380 a couple of years ago. I am sad to admit that I did not get around till shooting it until today. What a great little revolver. Accurate and easy to shoot. Shot better than I thought it would. Trigger smoothed up a bit with some use as well.

I have a Taurus 617 that is a similarly unique pistol that I love. As legendarily bad as the customer service is, the marketing guys seen to do a good job of reading the market and rolling out unique products. If a US manufacturer made a 7 shot k frame 2" .357, I wouldn't need the 617!

My previous response was ungracious. I don't like Taurus products, based on my experience with several of them, but I hope yours works well for you, and I wish you nothing but the best with your gun.

In-FREAKING-credible.
Someone starts a thread about how happy they are with a Taurus product and the haters come out of the woodwork to try and throw a wet blanket on it.
So you've had a bad experience with one or more Taurus firearms.
We've all heard it a million times already!
How about giving it a rest, huh?

I'm not a huge fan of Taurus, but I do like revolvers. I had an early Taurus that worked just fine. But I was able to trade it off for a snub nosed model 10.

I will say these $180 model 85's are tempting to pick up for a beater gun.

I have owned a number of Taurus over the years and had to send a couple back. No offense taken. That is probably why I have taken so long to shoot the M380 as a J Frame is always in my pocket.

The M380 is a blast to shoot! What a neat little package. Taurus does do a good job of bringing interesting guns to market.

Now if Smith would just make me a 6 shot J Frame in 327 Federal...

My only Taurus experience is limited to my TCP .380 which has been 100% w/everything I put down range. I admit to being pleasantly surprised.

I thought about getting one of these, just because.
I just wish they made it in 9x18 Makarov.
If they did, I'd already have one.
