How bad is the recoil on a Taurus TPC .380. I know this is a very light weight pistol, but the .380 round is not that hot of a round.

How would it compare to a 3913, or a 649 shooting +P loads, or an ultra light snub nosed .38 shooting .38 specials?

I don't think there is any comparison between the guns you mentioned.
Do a search on "Fla Senior Citizen stops internet café robbery". The shooter was using a Taurus .380, and you'll notice little recoil from his shots. He controlled the gun with one hand. Not a scientific answer but it will give some idea.

My LCP is near the same in size and weight as the TCP. It has more felt recoil in the palm/hand than any of my larger centerfire guns. There's just not much to hold on to. Though it doesn't have the wrist snapping recoil. I remember seeing a recoil table by caliber and weight/size that Chuck Hawks put together. Not sure what all the numbers meant. Might be something to look at. In any event, I can tell you in no uncertain terms that my LCP is not a recreational range gun.;)
