Tax return purchase - what shall I get???

Zipp777. Being you are talking handguns in 22 cal. I'd take a hard look at the Highstandard. I have a 7" Victor that will drill the same hole all day long and breaks down with the push of a buttom in front of the trigger guard for cleaning.

Now,back to your dilemma. Look at it this way. You have a nice Jeep and you want to get out, play off road and have some fun in the mud,but only have stock street tires. Do you dump $$$ on a great sound system for it or a set of outstanding off road tires ? You can listen to music later,GET THE TIRES!!! and have some fun.

So get the ACOG,a good set of mounts and don't look back. Eye's on target, you are wanting YOUR weapon of choice,get-r-done already ! :o

Prices on weapons of any kind are too high right now along with any "findable" ammo & mags. GRAB that ACOG ! Notice how the price gouging wave is rolling ? It's hitting the accessories now too, just look at some of the old items and those prices. You want it,better get it ordered now if you don't want to pay even more for it later and get "stuck in the mud".

There will be plenty of time to be crazy like some of the rest of us and have a couple nice AR builds AND at a more reasonable cost. This price wave can only last so long and then it will crash into the rocks. It won't just wash up on the shore. Those "gougers" have house, car and food bills to pay sooner than later too.

So now you will owe us a nice review on the AOCG and you're opinion on it. :o

Yes everyone. JaPes and the others who posted in similar light did help me decide. AS LONG AS my girl and my cumulative returns can buy a fence for our dog the ACOG it is!

I agree with others another rifle is also not a bad idea but I also know ME. A stock 2nd rifle would leave me itching to upgrade it as well. Then I'd STILL be saving for the ACOG while upgrading a second firearm! This is the last step except MAYBE a very small and very strong rail mount light to make her exactly how I want her.

Of course if purchased a complete review will be written. :)

Thanks everyone for your perspectives!

zip777. If you have the time to wait it out, chances are you "could" build a complete second one later for the price you would have to pay for just one now...

Well, if you want a light to match the quality of the ACOG...check out the Elzetta. Might as well go for broke (pun intended!) LOL

Of the two choices you presented, ACOG.

...or you could try to locate a S&W M&P 15-22. AR15 manipulation & controls, 3.9 cents per round... well it used to be.

Warm up on .22lr to work out the kinks, transition to center-fire, then cool down on the .22lr. Not only do you save a few bucks on ammo (even if you reload), but the 15-22 is also tons of fun.
Or he could just buy a .22lr conversion kit.

I hate you!!! LMAO just kidding but now I need one. Ha!

Ok I'm officially a rifle whore. We are considering downgrading the fence to upgrade my scope.

.....but that's ok. I could turn around and sell the ACOG for nearly what I paid if needed. Fences don't add much to a home value. Ha! So much for the wood privacy fence bring on chain link!!

Ps- ether way burris or ACOG we can't afford 260 feet of quality wood fence. I just said that to make me feel better. :p

Probably Acog. I have been looking at optics also. Ordered a Leupold 1X4 AR 1. I was stuck between the Burris and Leupold. Did a bunch of research and didn't like what I found on the Burris reliability and complaints about Customer Service. I have had a Leupold 3X9 since 1971 that has always held it's zero. Good Luck

I'm like you, Zip. I like quality things. Have had my cart loaded at Elzetta for months, and once a week *almost* order it. I will do it one of these days....I am powerless to resist. LOL

That is on our soon to acquire list as well.

I've been looking for a keltec pmr 30 at a decent price. Maybe I'll get lucky and find one.
