Temporarily Disabling a Revolver

First I think it sounds like the principle needs some lessons in gun safrty and handling.
The classes I tech are small classes 5 at the most. There is 2 of us and we use real guns with locks on them and only one at a time is unlocked during the class.
I also think a class with firing a gun at the end is the frosting on the cake.

Getting to shoot at the end would be great, but there is probably no safe way or place to shoot a gun at the school. It's not the same as having a classroom at the gun range.

My father used to just slap me upside the head if I attempted to do something borderline unwise with a gun. That kind of teaching worked well as I recall. :-)
That's what mine did also...and it worked quite well.

These days the father would be arrested and charged with assault and battery and child cruelty .... I've seen it happen !
Except it was a mother who caught her two boys robbing the neighbors house ...she got arrested for teaching them that stealing was wrong and it wasn't going to happen on her watch.... Sad , sad , sad !

I can't believe that both of my children actually shot on their public school's Rifle Shooting Teams ! Things have really changed ....and not for the better !
Maybe parents should be allowed to discipline their kids like in the olden day's !

Fill the chambers with cerobent a alloy that melts at less than the boiling point of water. Tape the ends of the chamber with duct tape to seal it temporarily and pour in cerobent when it cools take off the tape. You could also plug the barrel this way. It looks and feels like aluminum when hardened. A heat gun would remove it leaving no trace. It can be ordered online, gunsmiths use it for checking chamber dimensions. Very easy to use, just heat and pour..non permanent casting if you will.

Cable Ties Through Each Charge Hole In The Cylinder Might Work

Manuvering each so the knot left where they attatch to themselves is inside each chamber should prevent the revolver from being loaded while allowing it to function. In order for this to work the very thin Cable Ties thin enough to clear the gap between the barrel and the front of the cylinder are a must. Sure hope you find a way if this isn't found suitable because the youngsters need to learn how guns are tools and are to be given the proper respect & handeled safely.

Just use a blue gun, or a non firing replica. Search prop guns, and you should find some companies that sell them.
