I got all but Red Skelton's tramp's name, which escapes me at the moment, but I know what he said. And I don't know what that Don McClean song was really about, but always wondered what the devil "American pie" is? Apple pie?

But my music and my God have never died. I never made gods, even heroes, of rock singers.
Most are terrible role models, although I admire Rod Stewart's taste in ladies. Can you believe that Rachel Hunter is 39 now?! Saw that on TV this week...

P.S. Several of us were posting at the same time, I guess. Bullesye Smith nailed them, although I think Nestle's may have said that they make the best cocoa, not chocolate. May have said both, in different ads.

I was discussing this with a pal rcently, and we agreed that Swiss Miss and Nestle's cocoa mixes are just about neck-and-neck for quality.

Did you know that Red Skelton was a paratrooper who jumped into France on D-Day? It was very appropriate that he also played that role in, "The Longest Day".

I'm a movie buff and never heard about this before.
Are you sure your not getting Red Buttons mixed up with Red Skelton in THE LONGEST YARD?

Full of great actors and memorable scenes..my favorite being Red Skelton as the unlucky Para caught by his parachute on the church steeple, helplessly watching as all his buddies get picked off...an awesome scene.

This was from The Longest Day

An awesome scene, yes. But it was Red Buttons, not Red Skelton.

BTW, I got 14 1/2 out of 15. I got Freddie the Freelaoder mixed up with Willie Lump Lump.

Nestle's Farfel, although this isn't the original commercial we remember from the 60s.

AhHaa! Here's the 1950s Farfel. That snap at the end was always scary!!

Here's another one:
"Every boy wants a ________ toy. And so do girls!"
