It is easy to post from PB, but there is always the chance they will get crazy again and screw up or remove everybody's pics.
Also, if you delete the pic on PB, it also goes away here.
For longevity, it is actually better to attach a thumbnail, and then post the link to that thumbnail. It will then be here as long as the forum is.

PB screwed over its users some years ago, and lost most of them as a result. It also went to requiring payment for use. I have no idea what they are doing these days, but I will never go back to them. I switched to IMGUR, better and completely free.

I switched to Postimage, and couldn't be happier. Easy posting and downloading. I still have a bunch of images in Photobucket, but the originals are still on my hard drive.

Looks good Bill. Love the gun and the post. I have had good luck with PB, but I was a $9.99/yr ads free subscription member when the screw happened so I did not get hammered like many others. I coasted through with that until they got reasonable with their pricing packages.

Did you see what I said in Post #10? After you add a thumbnail, right click on the link below the text window, and click "Copy Link", then use the pic icon above the text window to post the pic full size. It ain't rocket science.

It is really quite sad to search and find great threads with information you might be seeking, only to find that the poster let the subscription lapse or pulled the images off one of the many PB type sites.

Unless you have a real need for a picture hosting site, the best way to show your pictures is to create an album here, upload your pictures to the album and use the BB code link for your picture to post full size in the text. This way you don't have a small attachment for each picture dangling on the bottom of your post. Also, you aren't limited to 5 pictures per post and your pictures will be permanent until Lee decides to close up shop.

I love this gun. I've had the privilege of holding Bill's engraved guns. Alvin White's work is amazing in the truest sense of that overused word. It takes time to look at one of his guns. I have to roll them around in good light and study them to see all the subtle effects White put in the inlays. I enjoy using a 3X or even a 5X visor to study them. Then, I just relax and look at them.
