This type of legislation is becoming very popular. One of the reasons is resources. States don't have the manpower and money to dedicate to fed law enforcement.

I remember back many years ago that the fed thought it was a great idea to convert to the metric system. They wanted all state DOT's to remove the signs on all the highways in the state and replace them with new signs in kilometers. The states said they would if the fed paid for it. The fed couldn't afford it but they mandated it anyway. They even threatened to withhold some revenue from gas tax if the states didn't comply. End result, the states ignored the bullying and went about their business. No new signs, no new metric system.

I've been on the only interstate in America that did it. I-19 between Tucson and Nogales Mexico.
 
There was soemstuffIposted yesterday telling about this and the Pop Tart bills--among 6 bills total on the subject of gunsbut--was told it belongerd here--sso now not sure where its at?Anyway The Gov elet said he was signing at least one bill if it gets to his desk? not sure on the others??
