Texas Star is back in the hospital, again (Update: he's now passed)

Our dear friend will be sorely missed.
I found a 3 part mini series on the SAS on Prime video and was going to let him know.
I wish you and your family, Peace and love................

Life goes by so fast. We just don't take enough time for ourselves and family. It seems as we get older time speeds up. Slow down and enjoy life and your family.

Noooooooo!!!!!

Let me first express my sympathy to his family.

I will sorely miss him.

Seems like the best always go before their time.

So very sorry to hear the news. Condoleces & prayers for you & your family. R.I.P. Texas Star.

My sincere condolences.

We shared many interesting threads over the past several years. I greatly appreciated how widely read your dad was, and he always added historic and literary aspects to discussions that enriched them. I keep coming across his contributions in the threads when I research older guns on the forum; they're always worth reading again.

May he rest in peace.

I am very very sad, sad to not have write to you for a long time, now it's too late.... i hope you have now a special place in " the Tree House" and live all your adventures from the sky.
RIP Jim;

Thank you all for the kind words. Having lost my mom just two years ago, I certainly wasn't expecting to lose my dad so soon, as well. We know he's in a better place, in any case, and I'm grateful to have been able to speak to him so much over the past few weeks.

Just two days after he passed, I lost an uncle (WWII Navy veteran, outdoorsman, former college administrator, among other things), as well. Rough week, but we deal, and cherish all the memories.

Thanks, again. Y'all have been great through it all, and we certainly appreciate it.

Condolences

Spook,
I'd like to give my belated condolences to you and your family. I never got to meet your Dad personally, but had many discussions with him on the internet. I as many others will miss him sourly.

1/20/21 was a terrible day for me and my family also. upon arriving at our home, after our first corona virus vaccination, earlier that day, We found a message that we had lost our next door neighbor of 30+ years, to the virus that morning.

When I send a text, to you to ask you to stand by your Dad in the hospital, I found that he had passed away. Pardon my delay, in contacting you.

Chubbo
