Texas Rep. Steve Toth plans to propose a bill that calls for felony criminal charges to be filed against any federal official who tries to enforce in the state any federal laws restricting semi-automatic firearms or the size of gun magazines.

"If a federal official comes into the state of Texas to enforce the federal executive order, that person is subject to criminal prosecution," Toth told WOAI News.

The measure would make any federal firearms legislation passed by Congress or approved by Presidential order unenforceable in Texas.

Texas Attorney General, Greg Abbott, has already vowed to fight any federal measures that call for restrictions on weapons.

Management of my company solicited input as to how to improve performance. I offered that moving to Texas would be a great start. For some reason my suggestion was not taken seriously....yet

Abott is a solid Attorney General. Toths bill might not be quite all that, but at least it is effort and push back.

Texas is doing its part. Texas has stood up before.

Moved out of Kalifornia a year ago and now I m happy to be in Texas.

It's nice to see that there are still ppl that will stand up to the Feds. Most are just "yes men" and comply.
