After 4 treatments/ 8 weeks of taking Opdivo, and having new symptoms, the doc put me thru a head to toe MRI scan... tried the 1st day... only took one muscle relaxer & 1 lorazepam prior to the scan and they did not stop my muscle spasms/cramps. So after an hour, the radiology folks put it off until the next day... took 2 of each with permission... and it worked. Got the news yesterday at my scheduled chemo session... "no progression of the disease" is the way the doc put it.

This is after my old chemo that I was on finally failed after nearly 4 years & I developed new lung tumors.. Thank you Lord & thank you all for the many prayers.

I don't know how an atheist/agnostic deals with these things. I prayed & asked for help, & put it in the Hands of the Almighty, according to His Will.

Every time I get to the end of a run with a chemo, the Onco just reminds me that there is something new, and off we go into another rabbit hole.

Looks like you've got a good one. Keep on keeping on!!!

My very best to you.

The same here sir.... in the not too distant past, there were no good chemo treatments for my cancer. They gave me 4-6 weeks to 4-6 months to live if we were lucky. Now the docs talk about seeing a time when they can effectively manage some liver cancer & lung cancer cases in their patients.

When we started the round of chemo in 2014... he made sure we understood that when that chemo drug finally failed, there was another drug he was going to get me put on. When that one failed, he then started me on Opdivo.

He made sure we understood that there is at least one more to try if/when Opdivo should ever fail. Opdivo has less side effects than the other drug, is far more easily tolerated & so far is just as effective in my type of cancer.

I give thanks to the Almighty for the many blessings I've received.

I've been praying for you and was wondering how you were doing.

Thank you for posting this update. I'll keep at it.

You always seem to say that one thing that inspires or blesses me.

Thank you again.

Bob
