Simply amazing.. today's cancer treatments.

Thank you for sharing Brian's story.

Not sure if anyone noticed or not but at 1:00 in the video he puled out a bottle of Blue Lizard Sunscreen, the best sunscreen money can buy.

I was diagnosed back in Oct 2011 and at the time like I had mentioned in my original post they had no viable treatments available at the time.

This was my first surgery. This was Nov 28, 2011, the day they removed the bandage from my skin graft.

Cancer is ugly, very ugly.

Like other's have mentioned PLEASE get annual cancer screenings.

A lot of cancers are very treatable if caught early.

Its not just cancer treatment. Medical science has made great strides in the last decade.
My wife was diagnosed with Hepatitis C in 2002. At that time they were treating it with a form of Interferon. Yeah, the same nasty stuff they used for cancer. Also with the same horrible side effects. Sadly, my wife got hit with every bad side effect the stuff had to offer. I won't go into details, but it took a tremendous toll on her body. While they did cure the Hepatitis, the strain on her body was just too much. She passed in 2010. However, the treatment did buy us 8 more years together.
Now a person with Hep C just takes a daily pill for about 3-6 months and they're cured with no noticeable side effects. While I am exceedingly happy they found a better cure. I can't help but wish they had found it sooner.

I wish they had found t sooner too.

I've taken two different oral chemo's two different times, both "direct target" treatments and they were successful both times.

As much sun as I've subjected myself to over the years in both work and play, this strikes home. Thanks to all of you for sharing. I'm a leukemia (CML) survivor who takes daily low-level chemo doses that keep the disease in check. If the low level chemo medication I'm on hadn't been discovered, I'd have had to have undergone Chemo, Radiation, and a bone marrow transplant, with no positive outcome guarantee. Yes, medical science is wonderful. My best wishes to all of you.
