All four of our kids and fourteen of our grandkids are coming out to the ol' homestead for Thanksgiving tomorrow. But, our son Matt, his wife Stephanie, and their three boys, came up early today for our annual pheasant hunt. Had a great time.

Here's wishing all of you a very blessed Thanksgiving.

The Thanksgiving day hunt was a tradition in our family for many years, but life has moved on.

We have lost many of the uncles, the cousins have moved away so the tradition is no more.

All of the guys would hunt in the morning while dinner was being prepared. Back to the house for a feast then football and naps.

Glad to see you keeping it alive and well.

I have many fond memories of Thanksgiving and Christmas Day pheasant/quail hunts with dad, uncles and cousins. Like many of us, the family moved apart and the tradition wains.
My son and family is coming up today and stay overnight so I can take them out to the rifle/pistol range tomorrow. My grandson likes to shoot; I've taken him to indoor range in KC a few times. He enjoyed shooting, but the noise of others shooting bothered him. I think he will really like it alot more once I get him out in the open and he can shoot farther than 25 yards.

Chip. I just noticed this thread; sorry I was late to the party. What a wonderful way for Three Generations to spend a day enjoy each other's company.
I was so impressed that I gave it a well-deserved Five (5) star rating. I also noted that a few members were not as generous with their rating as I and others were.

I wish that those who did not approve of your posting had been brought up properly and understood the old saw, "if you can't say anything nice Don't say anything at all." Or had the courage to identify themselves and explain why they did not approve of your posting.

Again, I gave your thread a 5-star rating. old bear.. AKA Fred Sayre
