Pecan pie on my birthday, turkey hunting, Bonnaroo and the Lumineers at Bonnaroo! Plus all of the rest of it here in Tennessee!

Come on in boys, the water is fine!

We are relocating to Charlotte area this next spring from exile in Phoenix AZ, great thread and we cannot wait to move!!!

There just can't enough good be said about the South. I was born there and I'll always be Southern no matter where I am.

What came to be called"soul food" in the '60's is nothing but the East Tennessee and North Georgia country cooking I was raised on. The real thing is cooked with soul, love, and a highly developed sense of hospitality, no matter the pigmentation, religion or national origin of the cook. It's being explored and appreciated more all over the country, but for most chefs it's a second language unless they grew up on it. And it's still pretty damn good even then.

Great thread. Being from Louisiana I think we need to add some fried chicken blackeyed peas and cornbread. Just done have any pics
