I resisted the call of polymer for many years. I've always been a revolver or 3rd generation man. Shortly after after the AWB sunset in 2004 I ended up with 4 Glocks in my collection. They gathered dust in the safe and finally found new homes a couple of years ago.

I'd been thinking about the M&P 45, even picking up extra mags when found at a good price. Well... about 2months ago I found a used (03/11) FS for the princely sum of $375. Came with all the original parts. I actually thought it was a new gun, no wear at all.

Shot it and I'm very happy with it.

The 45 has been joined by an M&P 9mm...

...and I want the 40 Shield, and....

All good choices and I have a Shield 40, which is my every day carry. For me it is a great small compact carry gun, that I find is easy to control and shoot. You won't regret getting the Shield 40, and the recoil is just slightly more than the Shield 9mm, which it should be as the 40 is a more powerful cartridge.

Welcome to the "club". Revolver/1911 guy here, who just bought his first poly gun a few weeks ago (SD9VE). Now looking at the M&P 9 & 45.
Might as well just accept it and get on with your life.... :-)

The same with me. I sold my Glocks many years ago and didn't look back. Nothing personal, just not doing it for me. I began using a 92 FS and it was great. Recently, a couple of years ago, I bought a G22 to have a forty cal gun.

Then started looking at the M&P series and earlier this year found a 9FS just like your 45. Looked brand new but sold as used. Bought it, shot it and wham. Nicest poly gun ever, at least for me! Picking up a 357 SIG today FS and have a 40 bbl for it already..... Said I would not get more than the 9.... So that's not working out for me as I now think that I want a 45......! Oh no.....!
