The BEST Hamburger ! ! !

True that, Dick's in Seattle is pretty good, and so is Burgermaster if you're too lazy to get out of the car.

But Five Guys burgers are totally awesome. I can almost hear my arteries hardening with every bite.

Also, travel to Texas quite a bit, and I always make sure to get a Whataburger every time. All the way, with plenty of onions, pickles, tomatoes. No cheese required. What A Burger....:D

Best I've had was in Whitey Bulger territory; O'Sullivans in Somerville, Mass.

At home on the grill. 1/2 lb siroin with pepperjack, bacon, ketchep, onion and tomato on a fresh baked bun from the Publix bakery.

Are you kidding???

It's In n Out Burger all the way!!! It's the only reason that I can think of to make it worthwhile to go back to California! the IN n Out at Ontario, CA is worth the stop!

The best burger and fries I ever ate (1974) was at the NCO club at Clark AFB Philippines. Real beef (not water buffalo) and white potato (not sweet potatoes) french fries. After 10 months in Thailand, it tasted so good that I ordered a second one, and had 2 more beers.

I have not had a burger that tasted that good since. Absence (DEPRIVATION) makes the heart grow fonder.

Whether home cooked or purchased outside the home (Fuddruckers), a great burger requires onion rings along with all the other trimmings. Now I am hungry:D

Some of the best burgers I have ever had were in the local blue collar bars, off course it may have had a lot to do with the amount of alcohol intake.

Two places come to mind, one a chain, the other not:

1) When I was a kid, my grandfather used to bring me back a cheeseburger from a place called Bar 10. As a kid, it seemed as big as my head and was AWESOME!

2) A little drive in place called Swenson's. I'm not sure how far this chain extends, but their double cheese bugers are really, really good.

..............how do I get drool out of my keyboard?:confused:

For chain restaurants, my vote is Five Guys.
For local places, Big Daddy's Burger Bar and Cowfish are two places here in Charlotte that I'd put up against anyone else for best burgers.

Interesting; the number of comments about Five Guys.

There is one located near the Purdue campus and gets many reviews stating that it is too greasy and overpriced.

From all of the comments here, I think that I'll have to judge it myself!

Five Guys, Smashburger and Red Robin are good. In-n-out and Farmer Boys' are really good. But the best are always at a family owned hole in the wall. Shawnee, OK has Van's (also good BBQ), Hamburger King and The Brown Derby. In Tulsa, I like Ty's and Weber's.

The Burger Cart in Miamisburg Ohio just a little wagon with a propane burner big old skillet and little burgers. Onion, Pickle salt and pepper are the only additions. Just good eatin!

This is the best burger. It is from jersey joes in San carlos ca. They also make a great philly cheese steak.
