The Best Red Dot Sight For M&P15-22

does it matter where the red dot or reflex site is placed in conjunction with the other sites? I see chuck has his close to the front site. Can they be placed anywhere you want?

my sightmark aimpoint clone (i bought it from talon arms) functions great. I think total I spent $119.

chuck may have alittle to say about this but the advantages to mounting it closer to the front sight is that it gives the shooter a larger field of view out side the scope(more aware of your surroundings).. which for those of us that go to tatical ranges is a +..

makes sense

I find it much easier to transition between multiple targets with the dot out as far as I can push it. I shoot with both eyes open and the dot is just there when I swing the rifle up to eye level. The bullet goes wherever the dot is. If you can see the dot the bullet goes there.

Here's my 20 year old M4 Carbine and original M68CCO ("Aimpoint").

i just got my 3MOA NCStar red dot/laser combo in the mail today. it's on the rifle and i'll see how it works on friday. perfect cowitness of both dot and laser to front sight out of the box. comes with quick detach mount which holds really solid (we'll see how a few hundred rounds affects it). for $70 i'm impressed...so far.

Congrats. Now where are the pics. :p

Whoever posted the link to rrages -- Thanks. They got a 34mm ring with a short rail on it that should mount perfectly to my Colt clone. Been looking for a low profile way of adding a laser.... this looks like just the ticket. RRAGES.com GSG 5 Accessories

Got my Aimpoint M3 clone from Primary Arms in. Looks good. I think it will be just fine for my 15-22. Construction feels good. IT came with two sets of batteries. I upgraded to the better mount so i can cowitness if i want. So i was thinking about the lens covers. which way should they flip? i have seen then flipped up but that would get in the way when you are looking over the scope so what about making them flip down. They would lay along the top of the gun out of the way...

That link to sportsmans has 36 reviews from owners. Some good, some not so good.

I have and would go again with stuff from Primary Arms. JMO.

I would, but I have a $75 amazon GC I have to use up, so I'm stuck with whatever they have to offer. :(

So if I get the M3 clone with the high can't mount, will I need to get a riser to co witness the sight or will the high can't mount be enough to do it?

Evnash.....is that the regular M3 or the newer multi-retical M3?
