The Big Short Movie

Just saw it last night and I liked it and I'm pretty hard to please when it comes to movies. It's about the mortgage companies and them loaning out sub prime loans and mortgages to people with no jobs or questionable income, then packaging the loans and mortgages in a bundle and selling them off. Many liberals who want to blame the big recession of 2008 on the Republicans and President Bush need to watch this flick.

Saw it today and thoroughly enjoyed it. I remember a quote from the movie - something like "truth and poetry are a lot alike, and nobody likes poetry". The gist of this is why this whole event happened - and will probably happen again.

Of course it will, over and over again. Greed trumps everything on Wall Street. I lived and worked in NYC on Wall Street for almost 20 years before I decided to go before it was too late.

I'm very ambivalent about seeing the movie but have already read the book the movie is based on.

It was pretty good. Lots of money was moving around in that film for sure!
