After a few months of neglect, these pistols were crying for lube.
Gonna have to drag out and clean everything. Both of the rubber grip pistols choked a couple of times.

I know these pistols are reliable when kept in service..... Makes me wonder if those "my pistol is malfunctioning" posts are merely neglect?

I know you weren't asking for suggestions, but this TW25B stuff is super slick, stays where you put it, and doesn't run when hot.

I'm on to you.....out for a garlic shipment huh?:):);)

Garlic is looking good.....bout two more weeks:cool::)

I've repaired many .22s for friends with nothing more than a good cleaning.

BTW: I love the Buckmark. I have two. A 5.5" slab side target and a 4" camper. :D

My family and I absolutely loved taking the "old" (1986) Buckmark slab side out to son's small farm for plinking. The gun was fun, accurate and a treat to hold and shoot. Great gun as a trainer for the younger kids too.

Unfortunately I had only one original 10 round magazine which was always OK for just me plinking, but when the kids grew up enough to enjoy shooting, I found my self needing at least 1 more mag, preferably 2. So I sent off for Triple K 848 "guaranteed" to work with Buckmark and Challenger . Got the mag...fit the gun but would not hold open on last shot like the original. Called Triple K, they said they would send another one which they did..alas...same deal.

Got tired of the issue.....sold the gun with the original mag, forgot about the mags from Triple K until just recently, put them up for sale on the Forum and another Member snatched them up, and told me they were just what he was looking for.

Anyway....thanks for the post and showing your B'marks, I've now got a serious case of Seller remorse and will be watching used guns a little more in the future to see if I can't get one "back in the fold" so to speak.

I love my Buckmark! The only thing I dislike is that the grip panels hold the controls in place. I took the grip off during the first cleaning and immediately regretted it. My gun came with the wrap-around single piece rubber grip and it was a major challenge to get it back on with everything seated correctly. I have not removed the grip since. It has been so long since the grip came off that I don't even remember what all the issues were, but I think I recall that getting the mag release to seat correctly was a bear, exasperated by the wrap-around one piece design. Someday I'll replace with individual right and left grip panels, which I think would make things easier. The gun, though, is a lot of fun to shoot, and incredibly accurate.

Love my 5.5

My mid 90's Buckmark 5.5 is my only rimfire pistol.I've tried the various Ruger's but they don't fit my hand like the Buckmark.

About 3 years ago I got hold of some extra mags (mine came with two but I wnated 5 for Steel Challenge). It was a real pain because no-one here had any and Browning would not sell internationally. I think I got them through Midway via a reshipper (Borderview International). My Buckmark now sports a red dot sight. It'll ring an 8" plate at 50 meters all day freehand.

The three new mags worked just as well as the original ones did.

All my mags were stolen in February. When this years catalogue came from one of our bigger dealers I was pleasently surprised to see Buckmark mags for sale. I confirmed they were in stock and had them delivered last month after insurance paid out. Beleive it or not a mag that sells for under US$24 costs NZ $90 here.

Have not been to the range to shoot since it was allowed to open after Covid-19 shutdown a few weeks ago, but I tried them with some drill rounds I have and they fit and fed (by hand) perfectly.

Might just need a bit of cleaning, or it might be the ammo you're using. My Buck Mark UDX, like the one in the middle of your photo, runs fine on CCI SV, CCI Mini-Mags, SK+, and SK Pistol Match. However, it sometimes fails to feed Federal AutoMatch, and the last time I had it out, the Norma Tac 22 cases jammed in the chamber after firing. After digging the 3rd one out, I quit shooting that ammo and went back to the others without problem.

You sold the gun because the Triple K magazines didn't work in it? I can see why you have seller's remorse. I'm sure you can find a good used Buck Mark. Maybe even one with an extra one or two Browning mags to go with it.
