Silly me, I figured the way they say it on their own tv commercials (lou-poled) was correct. I've been corrected many times and most people pronounce it (leo-pulled). what's the correct way?
I know that the correct pronunciation is "loo-pold",but if I said anything but "lee-uh-pold" around here,I'd get laughed at and picked on. After all,we is a bunch of rednecks, right?
f.t.
I have a feeling the Company won't be insulted if you mispronounce their name as long as you buy their product. Toemato vs tomayto kind of thing.
And yes I know I spelled it incorrectly twice!
Like the hunting show star Bill JORDAN pronounced JERDAN. I guess he drives a FERD pick up. Or the Midwestern girls Named KAREN that get confused with the Japanese beer KIRIN.
In the old country it's lay-o-polled,but it's been Americanized into loo-polled.I pronounce my own name the original way and my kids pronounce it the Americanized way.
