Been hunting for a beater carry 3913TSW Pre-Rail ever since my auction score earlier this year on a barely used example with box and manual. I had patiently searched for the better part of a year before getting my first one for a good price, so I knew it'd be a waiting game. However after shooting that first time, it had noticeably improved DA and SA trigger pulls, and accuracy over my CS9. Yes I know they're not rare or valuable and they're made for carrying, not for collecting. I just couldn't carry the pristine one I had found after all that time, after all. I fell in love with these guns after carrying a CS9 for awhile and learning about the quasi-PC 3913TSW with its slightly longer barrel, squared off rails and tighter slide fit, and delayed unlocking. To me, its like the 3913 and CS9 had a baby, and the 3913TSW Pre-Rail came out with the best features of both parents, and then some. Anyways, fast-forward a few more months, and I'm the proud owner of 2 of these now.
The new carry gun has "666" as the last 3 digits of the serial number [emoji54], thus it's been dubbed the Devil's TSW. This is what I've been able to come up with after a year and a half of searching for the pre-rail version (which is actually quite fun in itself). Two guns. One to carry, and one to collect.
I threw a flash-chromed trigger, low-profile slide stop, and low profile single-sided safety on this bad boy, and he's ready to go to work now. Just need to find an adequate holster. The one I ordered is too bulky for my taste
Does anyone know where to get the one-piece guide rods for these without the staking? The recoil spring was worn and I replaced it along with the other springs, but I think I would feel better replacing the guide rod as as well, since I'll be carrying it and I think it's been shot some and had all original parts
