Been a rough couple days. I lost 2 friends in the last 48 hours.

Just found out that another one died 4 months back. I do not know how I missed the one that died months back, my father was a undertaker and I always read the death notices (3 papers) and some obits.

I try not to be too cavalier about death, but I don't dwell on it either. It's just part of the big deal. Try to make the most of it while you can.

I work part time at a funeral home as a caretaker so I keep up with the obituaries for that home. The last 9 people we had services for were all younger than me. Not worried about it at all. Had a good long life and still feeling good if a bit creaky. I have a sticker on my car window in latin Dum vivmus, vivamus" which means While we live let us live.

THIS is all fake, we don't actually come ALIVE until after death.

My dad died 30 yrs ago this past Saturday. I was 25 with a 3 month old son. I’m glad he had time with his grandson but my son will only know his grandfather through stories and photos. He was only 57. Pulled up on a job site, exited his pickup and hit the ground with a heart attack. You just don’t know. All we can do is take care of ourselves and live life everyday knowing tomorrow is not promised
