The History of the Sigma

Hi, I'm new here and own a Sigma .40VE with 1500rounds on it. I really like it and would like to know the history on the sigma line. I've seen; .40F, 9F, 357W (particular interest), .40VE, 9VE, Both GVE, subcompact models C, and the P series (again of special interest).
What are the main differences? Why were they dropped? How many 357W guns were made? Were there any other .357sig chambered models?
