I guess it's pretty easy to condemn this one dementional shallow clan. A mother that cultivates and exploits her family, and Bruce Jenner, with so many facelifts his belly button is on his chin. You can't escape them. I try to avoid it but when I go through the channels there they are. Everywhere. Professional celebrities. They exploit every aspect of their lives including sham weddings. Kim Kardashian could sell her feces preserved in clear plastic on e-bay and people would buy it. So, who's worse. Them or the people that keep paying attention to them. I'm 100% pro capitalism and they have found a market so I guess I have to give them that. Ask the average person under thirty walking around a mall who their senator is and most won't know. Ask them to name those three Kardashian chicks and see what you get. Sometimes I think i was born just in time to experience the waning days of civilization. Oh, well. Merry Christmas everybody.

The thing about that clan that is most infuriating to me is how sad Bruce J has become. At 1 point, the man was the greatest athlete in the world. The man won the Decathalon Gold at a fully contested Olympics against the heyday of the Soviet block obsession with beating the West in the Olympics!!! (yes, I'm a track and field junky) Now he's just a clown with no spine that lets his wife and kids act like buffoons!

PS, I'm 36 and refuse to watch the show on my own, but when I visit my 66 yr old mother who is fascinated by them, I have no choice but to watch some of it. I will say, my mom does view it as a train wreck too and doesn't understand how/why they can behave the way they do.

PPS Then again, if someone wanted to pay me $30mil/yr to act like that, I doubt I'd say no lol!

In truth, we all market what we have whether it is brains, beauty, skills or talent. Some of us sell what we have with more class than others. Some folks use brashness, BS or just plain lying to get what they want. I just ignore ilk like the Kardashians. They have no place or meaning in my life.

Merry Christmas

Charlie

I confine my viewing strictly to porno - which the Kardashians have failed to monopolize in the same fashion they have elsewhere. I believe Kim may have tried to make inroads but thank god her fat arse isn't plastered EVERYWHERE that I'm lookin'...

I've never seen the show, but heard about the shenanigans and silliness. Typical reality TV BS! Kinda glad I've got satillite TV as I can watch The Walton's instead. Dale

The day that crazy Kardashian family got on television is the day that good television went to heck in a hand basket. thank you for allowing me to vent.

I had to ask a female co-worker why they were famous in the first place and I still don't et it.

Well, look at the bright side: Lindsay Lohan seems to be doing better, as train wrecks go. She even heard some kind words from the judge at her last hearing, and seems to be performing her community service better. Earned about a million bucks from her, "Playboy" feature, but I bet her lawyers get a big chunk of it. Still, she probably needed some income, having lost several acting roles over her DUI mess and the fallout from her drugs and drinking excess. I hope she fully recovers and has a better life.

I gather that Holly Madison has her own reality show now, "Holly's World." And has published a Las Vegas guide book and has a nightclub act. She seems to be doing well after leaving Hefner.

Even that jerk Charlie Sheen seems to have waked up and smelled the roses and decided to stop making a colossal spectacle of himself. I think I heard on an entertainment show that he even bought ex Denise Richards and their kids a new house. I always wondered what Denise saw in him.

I don't get the E! channel now, so I can't keep up as well as I once did with the reality shows. The only one I really watched was, "The Girls Next Door." Holly was classy, but as Playmate Claire Sinclair put it in an interview, Kendra "has no filter." and she needed her mouth washed out with soap. I also disapprove of the men she's dated besides Hef.

I never watched the Kardashians. They just don't interest me. I don't understand their appeal. And no way could I watch, "Jersey Shore."

Oh: Britney Spears seems to have turned her life around, in the nick of time, and I hope it works out for her. I do like a few of her songs.

But most celebs aren't wonderful people. The respectable ones seem to get the least coverage. Harrison Ford seems to do a pretty good job of dodging the bad publicity, and he's a good actor. And Tom Cruise has been less wacky after he settled down from scoring Katie Holmes as a wife.

And if that ain't bad enough!

Howdy,
We don't get cable or dish. I don't feel too bad about that.
I did read that Clint Eastwood is next for a family/reality TV show.
I thought he would know better than that.
Merry Christmas everyone!
Mike

Those of us who are old enough remember sitting around the (black and white) TV watching Red Skelton, Jack Benny, The Lone Ranger, etc, much of it live. Folks like this are long gone, leaving us with people who have no talent and must substitute their lack of ability with what we see today. If the American public will settle for "entertainment" such as this, they'll also settle for the lack of talent we see today in every other area of our lives.

This may be a bit coarse, but when the Kardashians fifteen minutes of fame are done, I suspect porn just might be in their future, too (along with a few others like them).

Sorry, it had to be said.

I can just see him modifying his quote from a Dirty Harry movie. When he comes home from work, he'll tell his wife "Go ahead, make my steak..."

Sorry, couldn't resist....:)!

One of the advantages-blessings, perhaps-of being an ex-TV watcher is that I am spared all these things. All though let's all confess-Kim Kardashia. is VERY nice looking. I saw one photo of her, dressed nicely-somewhat more glamourous than say business attire, say a casual date and she looked NICE.
Also she did one principled thing-she objected to her photo appearing on the cover of the Turkish edition of "Cosmopolitan". She being of Armenian ancestry, not suprisingly she objected to the Turkish treatment of Armenians in WWI.

Not only the Kardashians but almost ALL of the rest of television is classless, unfunny, and vulgar. And a great majority of our society watches it.

That tells me where we are headed.

The three Kardashian girls mud wrestling the Hilton girls!!!
What a pay for view event!!!

LOL
