The Limited Family

My other post got me to thinking about the Limited Family of PC guns . I have an 845 , 40 and 3566 Limited's , all whose accuracy is unknown to a lot of members here . Between the PC tuned single action , the Briley bushing and the attention to detail the PC shop put into these , they have no equal . Well , maybe they do , but I'll never see it .

Are the PPC9’s technically considered 9 “Limited’s” ?

My MPC 845 is technically a 45 Limited but the box end label only states 845. My PPC9 box end label states 5906 and 9mm Limited not PPC9. Hmm.

Technically not a "Limited" in name, I'm of the opinion this Target Champion would have been originally intended to be a 3566 limited, but was likely re-purposed following the demise of the 356tsw cartridge.

Sure does look like it Trey , I have a 5 & 6in TC , and they shoot as good as my Limited"s . That's a good question Jim , the PPC's are also in a class of their own . I read somewhere that the PPC's and the Target Champions are the same gun , which makes sense .

It's nice to break these PC guns out and talk about them once in a while . I will deny this if anyone asks , but I belong to the Colt forum also . Great people and a wealth of knowledge , but even they can appreciate the guns that came out of the PC shop .

9MM Target Champion's are in fact "limited" from the box labels and catalog. Both the short lug, full lug and two tone models.
