Sir, here's my one lone 27, a dash-2 from the early '70s.

It's got a very nice trigger--makes accurate DA shooting easy.

Where can I find grips like those?? I have the Magna? stock grips on mine,too small, I like the looks of those like on the mod 29. what other larger grips will fit on mine? It's a mod 28 but same frame as a #27...any suggestions? Thanx, AJ

I have seen nice wood grips on eBay and other auction sites. You will just have to keep an eye open.

I too like the diamond grips on my 27-2 and I have done some research and have found that those are coveted by many. Especially if they are also coke grips. If you do find some, don't be surprised if you see them going for as high as $200. But, I am sure that there are deals out there.

jpdopes, nice pinned and recessed four inch, that's a very hard gun to find. Hey rags24, did you buy that 8 3/8 27 at the OGCA a couple of years ago. It looks like the one I was waiting for a fella to put back down.

My Model 27-2 is on top and Model 29-3 is on the bottom. IMHO, the 27 is the Cadillac and father of all .357s.

I'm getting in late on this one but wanted to add my 27's to this thread because I love the Model 27 S&W and I didn't want to start another thread.

Interesting thing is there are at three other 27-2's in this thread with red ramp front sight the one on my blued 6 inch. That makes me think it came from the factory that way.
