After acquiring my third model 625 last month, I'm realizing how truly addictive these things are! They're worse than potato chips! They are really accurate too! My latest is a 625 Mountain gun in .45 ACP. It can easily shoot 30 rounds into a single ragged hole about 2" wide at 25 yards! Anyway, here's the family (in chronological order). Feel free to add yours!

Here's mine. I replaced the gold bead front sight with a fiber optic. I use RIMZ polycarbonate moonclips. With these, it's an absolute blast to shoot.

This one's almost a 625! I fitted a barrel and cylinder from a 625-10 to a pre-war N frame and replaced all the guts. I parkerized the frame to make it resemble the two-tone performance shop version.

I also have a 625-8 (JM). It is great, but on the whole, I like the look of that mountain gun better. Very classic lines.

My 625-8. Drilled the front for a bit of brazing rod and put a .160 blade on the rear. I can't stand that shallow notch that comes stock...

Well, I certainly cannot match Allen Frames collection, but my enthusiasm for 625's knows no bounds! I'll match mine (enthusiasm) with Allen's any time LOL.

Here is my 625-6 with five inch barrel and Simmons Red Dot sight:

Here is my 625-8 Jerry Miculek Special with Simmons Red Dot Sight:

These two are my most favored revolvers of all time.

My first S&W - a 625-7 MG - and it's backup, a 625-6, both in .45 Colt, along with my 625-8 JM in .45 ACP:

I have a 625-8 that went through the performance shop at S&W. It is a real tack driver. How many different 625s did Smith make?

I just traded my mint 5906 and $$$ to get this 625-8 which the previous owner had run through the S&W performance shop. Superb trigger. Dumped the ugly rubber Hogue for a set of Ahrends Coco bolo combat grips that I'd refinished. Can't wait to get to the range!

I love those mountain guns. I never liked full lug barrels. I tried a 625-8 but sold it. I now have a 22-4 which I think of as a blued mountain gun with fixed sights.

I'm enjoying this thread. I recently stumbled onto an excellent condition, 3", 625-3, while in an area shop for the first time. Gave them some money and hope to get it in a few days.

I love my 1911 and the .45ACP round. Seems like a natural addition to my modest S&W revolver collection. Can't wait to get it home.
