The most beautiful of all, the queen of your dreams

When my second son was about 12 or so, we were in a restaurant having dinner. He said he was worried that when he grew up he'd be bald like me and have difficulty finding a wife.

I said, "Son, do you know who Sophia Loren is?"

"No. Who is she?"

"She is the most beautiful woman in the world," I explain with confidence, "and she is married to Carlo Ponti, a short, little bald guy!"

"Really!," says my son, clearly impressed that a short little bald guy is married to the most beautiful woman in the entire world!

I lean back in my chair and smile at my son. He smiles back, reassured.

My wife, who has been listening to us, says drily, "Carlo Ponti has a lot of money..."

a lot of money increases the height by at least 20 inches

Nice, but I still prefer Raquel Welch:)

She was definitely a looker. I would go with Marilyn Monroe for her alluring attitude, but I personally think Raquel Welch was the all around most beautiful woman ever. But dang was Sophia one of the most beautiful women back in the day. Pure beauty, none of that lip puffer junk. Now, closer to my age, I'd have to with Wendy O Williams of the Plasmatics or Poison Ivy of the Cramps. Young Suzy Quatro got me through High School!
