The New Season Of Top Gear UK Has Started

After what has seemed like a very long time I am happy to say that Top Gear UK is back. Now in season 19. The first show was good and classic Top Gear. A lot happened in the show as well but I do not want to spoil any of that.

I like Top Gear US as well but for different reasons. Top Gear UK is the original and still the best. I still think that Top Gear US will find their nitch and get into their stride.

The show has started in the U.K. And BBCA does not show the latest stuff but you can find it at FinalGear.

I'm no fan of British TV. I cant understand them when they mumble, then I get behind when I try and figger out what they said. and I dont drive from the right side.

I've watched Top Gear UK since Jezza was actually skinny and had more hair.I've tried to watch the Australian and American versions and while true to the spirit of the show,they really fall rather flat IMO.
The things that the original have going for it is not only the chemistry and genuine friendship the trio have,the seemingly astronomical budget but the fact that BBC and the show is not funded by advertizing dollars allowing the show to be brutally and quite often hysterically honest about the cars.
A fact that generally hobbles the imitators.

They do get away with some things on the show. There was a clip a couple years a go in the Xmas special that did not make it in to the BBCA edited version of the show. It was about a minute long clip about a certain energy drink. I do not wanna post it here but search FaceTube (James May joke) for top gear p/@$y energy drink.

I read that it should be a belated Christmas special?

After watching BBCA I've also started watching the good Doctor!

The yearly DVD they do is already out as of 2 months a go. It is called The Worst Car In The History Of The World. It is not sold in the US so you have to look for it.

I think they have come a long way in the newer seasons than where they started out. It took them a couple of seasons to get the hang of the show, for sure.

I love the UK Top Gear, can't wait for the new season. I watch the US version but they're are not nearly as entertaining as Clarkson, Hammond, and May. Their pranks on each other are always funny, super glueing radio knobs, cranking up heat in summer, pushing Hammond's seat back and breaking it! Thursday is my favorite day at work, get to watch Top Gear all afternoon.
