It has started (Way too early)

Re the Hallmark Channel, I've never seen it — hey, some guys are just lucky, I guess! — but as to it being repetitive, with formulaic plots, I bet it's comfort food for the ladies. Kinda like me reading Robert B. Parker or Lee Child.

I read some years ago, in a review about a book of advice for would-be authors, that there are only a few basic plots which successful writers embellish over and over again.

Very good description.

I went into our great room as my wife was watching a Hallmark movie. After a minute or two I told her I had already seen this one. She said it's brand new so you couldn't have. Then I told her the movie highlights and plot. Now I'm banned from watching that TV until next year.

Lucky you.

You should be banned for comparing Hallmark to Parker.

Noise cancelling headphones or earbuds, perhaps playing soothing nature sounds?

Or Grateful Dead, Joe Bonamassa or the Waiting for Columbus live album by Little Feet

True story, I can play music on my hearing aids but every time I do it's like my wife has radar because as soon as the music starts she wants to talk to me.
